The construction industry is notorious for having a high number of corporate insolvencies – and the numbers are almost certainly set to rise following the impact of the coronavirus pandemic.
In this webinar, I will use interactive financial risk models to demonstrate the impact of an insolvency event – including practial tips to help mitigate the issues. I will show the financial impact to the supply-chain, and examine how contractors are able to influence the payment flow to improve their cashflow.
I will discuss the use and preparation of ‘Living Wills’ to assist clients and building promoters to prepare for an insolvency event, and the understanding of how the various financial instruments and contract terms and conditions can assist them to mitigate the impact from a contractor insolvency.
As a Chartered Surveyor, I have had over 30 years industry experience, and for the last 18 years, I have specialised in contractor insolvency and lending risk – providing advice to Insolvency Practitioners, lenders, and surety / performance bond providers.
