Based in Gateshead’s PROTO technology centre, the company designs and develops next-generation immersive content including augmented and virtual reality, for clients including the BALTIC and the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology. They are also, though their ‘Protege’ initiative, creating future jobs for up to 10 young people in the coming year in partnership with Gateshead College. Dan will tell us about all of this, and more.
Rachael Cooper, Modular Law
Modular Law is a specialist IT law firm focused exclusively on technology, outsourcing and digital projects. Having been founded by a former software engineer turned tech lawyer, they know their APIs from their DSPs, a major advantage when supporting the thriving North East tech sector. Rachael will share some guidance on the basics of contracting for design based firms, covering a little bit of IP strategy and protection.
