Are you a senior-level strategic operations leader with a passion for technology? Are you a high-energy and results-oriented leader who is always looking for ways to drive continuous improvement within and across your teams? Do you love digging deep into data and processes to find the principal drivers of a problem or opportunity? Do you have a penchant for finance and investing, and are you knowledgeable about real estate investing and transactions?

The Head of Marketplace and Acquisitions Operations will be responsible for all operational aspects of Roofstock’s transaction engine. This includes our institutional underwriting and acquiring program, as well as our retail certification and transaction operations and customer success teams.

The Head of Marketplace and Acquisitions Operations will: Marketplace and Acquisitions Operations works across our Retail and Institutional lines of business to enable sustainable growth and build a platform for operating at scale. The area encompasses a series of related but separate teams, each managed by its respective Director, that are responsible for all institutional underwriting for acquisitions, institutional acquisitions operations, retail certification (i.e., property diligence), retail transaction coordination, and retail customer success. These teams serve separate internal and external customers but perform similar tasks and leverage common technologies and data infrastructure to achieve their objectives. This role will report to Roofstock’s Chief Operating Officer.

Responsibilities

Hire, develop and coach a team of outstanding leaders, problem solvers, and operators.

Create engines of continuous improvement across teams under management.

Work with team to design and implement the business and operational systems and processes that will enable step-function changes in

growth and efficiency.

Seek and execute opportunities to create synergies within teams and systems to create a high-performing organization.

Build strong partnerships with business line GMs and leaders to understand their needs and exceed expectations.

Build strong partnerships and work with Product and Engineering to scope and prioritize changes that will drive materially better business and

operational outcomes.

Qualifications

Minimum 12-15 years of experience in roles bridging strategy (e.g., strategy/consulting, corporate development, business operations) and

operating roles (e.g., operations, general management, etc.) .

At least 7-10 years experience in a leadership/management role; at least 3 years in senior leadership role Outstanding analytical skills and

excellent data-driven problem-solving capabilities; results-oriented attitude.

Ability to leverage process and technology to enable efficiency and effectiveness across a team and line of business; exposure to Product,

Engineering and Data Science teams preferred.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

MBA or MA in Operations Management preferred Experience in Fintech, Proptech or Marketplace businesses ideal
