We are bringing Connect filming days to over 30 cities across North America, South and Central America, Asia, Europe, Africa and Australasia, with more than 300 speakers delivering thought leadership pieces around themes such as user focus, technology and digital transformation. We have already had in excess of 500 speaker applications.
We are delighted to be seeking a number of sales professionals to help us expand our networks. In particular, this role will involve attracting city bodies and smart city organisations to act as curators of content during RE:Connect, bringing their local stakeholders to our platform to both create and consume content. The RE:Connect platform provides a new alternative to traditional events, which are no longer available to these stakeholders. There is no charge to the city bodies to undertake this role. Instead, they are expected to sell RE:Connect inventory to local businesses such as investors, developers, lawyers, advisers and others. In return, they receive a share of the sponsorship revenue.
The Role. Take a highly informed and consultative sales approach to our Connect offering Leveraging existing channels and networks Research, identify and engage key stakeholders within smart city institutions, bodies and organisations globally to achieve sales for partnerships and sponsorships; Develop a continuous pipeline of sales leads and prospects to explore; Actively listen to stakeholders and provide a solution that addresses their key objectives or pain points; Articulate our offering to match prospects strategic objectives and goals; Manage the end to end sales process from initial client contact through negotiation, agreement and post-sale support Essential Requirements Possess an existing network of contacts or relationships within city bodies or smart city organisations; Partnerships or sales experience within city bodies or the smart city vertical either globally or regionally; Ability to understand stakeholder needs and deliver products that match their requirements; Ability to generate and manage own leads/prospects using video and phone calls, email, LinkedIn and other internal marketing sources; A clear and developed understanding of the decision making and buying process within a smart city organisation; Experience selling to multiple different personas across C-level personnel and the aptitude to effectively communicate with key decision makers with confidence and authority; Experience working in tech-related markets/industries a welcomed addition; Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; Well organised and have the ability to prioritise tasks and organise your time effectively across a multinational team; Self-motivation and drive to achieve targets and meet deadlines, the ability to work independently and require minimal management; B2B sales experience; An interest or experience in disruptive technologies and digital transformation; Ambitious, intelligent and an inquisitive nature.
