Job Overview

Propic are redesigning the Real estate experience, empowering Agents to be more customer centric. At a founder level you’ll have some of the smartest operators in the Real Estate Tech domain able to provide clear context and definition of success. The growing team of Data experts is building out its own culture but has strong ties to rest of this mainly tech focused company. We have a bias to action and an innate desire to do things differently and push tech to its limits. We are seeking an equally passionate proficient and pragmatic Data Engineer to help develop, design and shape this next generation technology platform.

Job Description

Job Overview / Responsibilities The successful candidate will be working in the team expanding and optimising our data and data pipeline architecture on AWS. Working closely with our Data Science team to ensure that we have a scalable platform to support our growing customer base. The ideal candidate will have a background in coding and data analysis. They will ideally have been exposed to cloud native data pipelines. The Data Engineer will work as part of the data engineering team supporting our software developers, data analysts and data scientists on data initiatives. They will work to facilitate an efficient data delivery architecture, actively helping to move experiments into repeatable production capability. They must be a self-starter able to rapidly understand new business requirements and comfortable supporting the data needs of multiple products. This is an exciting opportunity to work with and productionise a number of data centric AWS services to build out a customer focused product. Skills Solid experience with AWS services including: S3, RDS, EC2, ECS, Redshift, EMR, Glue, Athena Big data tools and technologies inc: Hadoop, Spark, Hive, Kafka SQL query authoring and optimisation for Relational Databases Solid coding experience in Python, PySpark, etc Message queuing, stream processing, and event-based architectures Experience with Cloud Formation Exposure to R Exposure to NoSQL tech Excellent written & oral communication skills Ability to work autonomously Experience A successful history of manipulating, processing and extracting value from large disconnected datasets. Experience building and optimising “big data” pipelines supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency and workload management Root Cause analysis across internal and external data feeds Working with unstructured datasets Building metadata management solutions Moving Data transformation upstream Experience working with RestAPIs Experience working in a Cross Functional Agile Team Distributed SCM, CI/CD Qualifications AWS SA and Big Data Certifications 1+ Years hands on with AWS Big Data services Ideally 3+ years of experience in a Data Engineer role Graduate degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or another quantitative field If this sounds like you, we would love to hear from you.
