What you’ll do:

• Get involved in the early stages to help us shape the vision and the tech stack for our future data science products
• Apply machine learning techniques to large, complex datasets to better understand our customers and markets and drive innovation
• Develop risk, AVMs, pricing, credit scoring and decisioning models to aid the automation of our underwriting processes
• Provide expertise on mathematical and statistical concepts and inspire the adoption of advanced analytics and data science across the entire breadth of our organisation
• Support the development of analytic algorithms into production systems, writing production quality code and testing the production systems where applicable
• Design, develop and maintain data science solutions for the business, which will be used internally and by our customers and partners.
• Work closely with the Founders, Product, Growth and Operations Teams to develop and roll out new products when relevant, while keeping scalability and user experience front and centre

Job Requirements:

• 3+ years commercial experience as a data scientist
• Experience analyzing complex data sets and developing insights to influence the strategic direction of the organisation
• Experience building and productionalising machine learning models, preferably with market leading cloud providers (Azure, AWS or GCP)
• Practical working experience of SQL, Python, R and machine learning techniques and how they can be applied to real-world problems
• Experience in an early stage start-up environment, ideally in the FinTech/PropTech space
• Experience in mortgage or secured lending
• Experience developing risk, property valuation, credit scoring or decisioning models
• Ability to collaborate with team across the business, conveying technical concepts to non-technical audiences
• You have a strong work ethic, an appreciation of detail and a desire to push the boundary
