We are looking for a highly motivated, creative technical writer to improve our customer experiences. When customers deploy spaceOS in their workspaces they see dramatic business results, but the current process requires a deep understanding of their tech stack and marketing processes. Like all great tools, spaceOS is simple to understand at a basic level, but mastery of all of our capabilities requires time. World-class documentation is essential to educate customer engineering, IT, and marketing team and this is where you come in.
Job Description
Who we’re looking for: – You are a customer-centric technical writer who is passionate about creating excellent documentation that solves customer problems before they happen. – You are excited to collaborate across the organization to make customers have clear, accurate, accessible information on how to use spaceOS and integrate it into their business processes. – You love user feedback and are excited to work with support engineers to identify and address gaps and errors in documentation. – You love partnering with product teams to make product launches more successful by concurrently releasing exceptional documentation. – You build research-driven, empathetic experiences that delight users of all technical fluencies. What you would work on: – Document product features to help our clients and users to administarte and use spaceOS. – Create engaging, easy-to-understand content such as user guides, knowledgebase articles, how-tos, step-by-step collateral, and UI text. – Leverage web analytics and other forms of customer feedback to identify and prioritize .documents for enhancement and workflow improvements. – Develop and maintain documentation templates and style guides. – Provide feedback for support, training, and related customer-facing content – Write and edit scripts for video content as needed. – Maintain a clear perspective on company-wide written material to see that it adheres to a common style and information architecture. – Build processes to better capture the information and signals received by our support team. – Create practices for the rest of the organization that encourages and enables cross-functional teams to keep documentation accurate and discoverable. – Find ways to surface the documentation across client and user interfaces to make sure they are always informed. – Write B2B and B2C user interface text that facilitates system navigation, on-boarding, promos, error messages, instructional materials, and other components. – Collaborate with designers, researchers, product managers, and engineers to influence and adapt to requirements. – Create developer content and API documentation that is detailed enough for engineers and consumable by clients. Requirements: – Experience documenting for SaaS applications, especially at an enterprise scale. – Excellent written and oral communication skills. – 3+ years of technical writing for user-facing, production-level documentation. – 2+ years of experience in building strategy and process to support customers, drive fluency through the business, and using customer data to inform decisions and prioritization. – Experience in large-scale, cross-functional projects that empower teams such as Product, – Engineering, Support, Sales, and Partnerships to drive incredible business outcomes
